I love blogs that give recipes as much as the next person (even though I don’t make a ton of original stuff right now…sorry, I’ll get better and post some more of my own baking creations!) But, for my house warming party, I took a few mouth watering recipes from fellow bloggers…
Tempeh Wingz from Don’t Eat Off The Sidewalk. These were a huge success…even the omnivores liked them!
Pumpkin Whoopie Pies from Vegan Etsy, while the filling was out of my Joy Of Vegan Baking cookbook.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies from Vegan Gal.
Strawberry Cupcakes from JoVB, but I topped mine with Chocolate Ganche.
Rugelach from JoVB as well…I got tons of compliments on these, they seemed to be a real crowd pleaser. I used apricot jam on mine.
I even made my own ranch dressing for the veggie tray!
For the ranch dressing I used 1/3 cup silken tofu, 1/2 cup vegan sour cream, 1/3 cup rice milk, and then added about a tsp or so of Dill, Garlic Powder, Basil, Salt, and Fresh Pepper.
A fruit tray of course, I kept eating the pineapple while I was cutting it, it was so yummy.
And then of course, my friends made a few things too. Although I didn’t get a picture of what people brought. We sort of got carried away with the party and took no pictures once people arrived. Thanks to my friends from bringing Hummus and Pita Chips, Vegan Chili, Homemade Guacamole and Chips, and of course, lots and lots of beer and wine. If I forgot to thank anyone for something they brought, I’m sorry and thank you! The party rocked.
