Two weekends ago (I’m behind, sorry!) I was in Milwaukee for the 4th of July holiday. Saturday was the Tour de Fat and the best part of the all day event was that they had plentiful vegan options! There were two different restaurants on hand for the event and both had vegan options. I opted of the vegan tamales from Mamasita’s Tamales. I had the Black Bean & Plantain Tamales with the bean & rice salad. I’ve had these frozen before (always available at Riverwest Co-op in the freezer) but fresh is always better!
