Travel – BC – Wild Rice

For a nice dinner on our second night in Vancouver we pedaled over to Wild Rice. Stopped for a quick street concert

then we made our way down the street to eat…after locking the bikes up out front we headed in for a fancy dinner.

Smoked Tofu Congee

Curry Vegetable Bao

Oyster Mushroom & Kabocha Squash Ravioli

Spiced Butternut Squash with Pickled Onion & Tofu Bacon

The dinner was great, the staff was wonderful. During dinner our bikes were stolen from right outside the front door. Just a tip for anyone who travels to Vancouver…ask to bring your bikes into the restaurant. We later learned that they would ahve let us have them inside, we didn’t think to ask, we didn’t know that bike theft was a huge problem in Vancouver. Now we know. But, learn from our mistake!

Wild Rice was really good and the if we go back, we plan to stop in again!

Travel – BC – The Wallflower

For breakfast on our first full day in Vancouver, BC we headed to The Wallflower. Our original plan was to make a lot of food in our hotel (Since we got one with a kitchen) but we hadn’t yet been to the store and we were starving. So The Wallflower it was. They kindly told us what they could make for vegan fare and we both got scramble. Although not the best scramble ever, it was just nice to have a vegan option for breakfast. Super nice staff and the rest of the menu looked great for vegan fare later in the day.
